Afternoon Children
"A blue afternoon, a secret house, and children in the forest"
In front of my house, there's a square space where trees grow wildly. It's as if a garden for birds with large trees and abundant plants. I can't tell how long this space has been neglected; it seems to be the original location of a house. There's an iron gate to enter, but it's tightly closed, and the surrounding walls make it hard to see inside. Above the gate, roses bloom every year, and birds and cats casually come and go. I imagine the stories unfolding within. 'Afternoon Children: The Secret House' is a painting inspired by the tales that might occur in such a space.
